It's Time For Me To Fly...
Wednesday, March 12, 2008
i've found that buying a musician's entire album has become more and more difficult for me to do over the years. albums that are completely listenable are few and far between, but when you do find one, it usually makes up for lost time. albums like dave matthews band's 'under the table and dreaming,' zach macko & far north's 'songs from my room,' and gavin degraw's 'chariot' are a few of my most notable listenable albums of all time. recently though, i've been lucky enough to add a new band to that list, the words of which their song 'fly' are on the photo above. cipes and the people is an awesome band that brings reggae back into the current music scene. whether or not reggae is your thing, you can't deny the rythym and lyrics that greg cipes brings to the tunes. i haven't listened to much else in the past week, since getting the album on itunes. it's worth so much more than the $9.99 it costs for the 18 track album titled 'conscious revolution.' the lyrics strike such a chord with me, causing be to believe that it truly is "the music that unifies everyone and everything." -greg cipes
