I have a long comment, but I knew that you, of all my blogging friends, would appreciate it.
My brother in law sends this today:
"I guess this is why we have an electoral college:
http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=194983 (audio only)"
My reply:
"I think that you could probably attribute this to McCain supporters as well, however. There are plenty of voters that are just plain ignorant."
My sister replies:
"Ah, I am sure they could find some McCain supporters who don't know his positions well, and I am sure they could edit it to sound like McCain supporters don't know what they are talking about.
I think the point of the experiment, though, was to test whether people like Obama for his policies or his VP pick or just because of his race. The results are pretty telling, if you ask me."
And my final reply:
"I will certainly agree that there are supporters out there that don't know a thing and are voting for him mainly for the color of his skin or because he is a good speaker or because he is a democrat or because he chose Biden. But you can't tell me that is the reason he will win the election (or could win). There are plenty of people out there that WON'T vote for him specifically for those reasons as well. I can't tell you the number of times I have heard "you're voting for that n....." right here in Wolfeboro.
Ignorance goes both ways.
Let's not forget who did the experiment either. We are talking about Howard Stern. It's not like this is some incredibly reputable source."
It's like they think we are all "nuts"...I totally want to post about this but my sister reads the blog...and I fear I could cause much disruption in the family...
Tony talks about me enough on the blog for everyone to know who I am voting for but....sometimes i wonder if whoever wins will win based on the crazy/stupid/ignorant people. There are just so many. and to crazy momma your family should respect who you are and even if you dont support who they support. I dont think anyone is nuts if they know the policies and they stand behind them. Lets face it our differences in life are what makes it all worth living.
I support you even though we support different people
@crazy momma - ignorance does indeed go both ways. i have so much that i could say to your comment, but i'll just sum it up by saying:
I CAN'T WIAT FOR THIS ELECTION TO BE OVER. THE ANXIETY IS KILLING ME!
